Türkiye will increase the number of charter flights from Russia to compensate for losses from sanctions.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Wednesday that Ankara will try to compensate for the losses for the tourism sector due to sanctions imposed against Russia.
“Russian tourists will come to Turkey. The real problem here is the sanctions imposed on Russian aircraft. We will try to compensate some of them by increasing the number of Turkish Airlines flights and charter flights,” he said in an interview with CNN Türk.
According to Cavusoglu, Turkey expects 3.5 million Russian tourists to visit the republic in 2022.
