RUSSIANS LEAD IN HOUSING PURCHASED IN TURKEY IN APRIL

Türkiye continues to break all records. Sales of housing to foreigners in Turkey in April this year increased by 58.1% compared to the same month last year - up to 6,447 units, Russian citizens are in the lead in terms of housing purchased in Turkey in April.
According to TUIK, in general, 133,058 real estate purchase and sale transactions were concluded in Turkey in April.
Mortgage home sales across the country increased by 82.9% in April compared to the same period in 2021, to 32,030 units. The share of sales of mortgage housing in the total sales of residential properties amounted to 24.1%.
The leaders in terms of housing purchased in Turkey in April were citizens of Russia - 1152 units. Followed by citizens of Iran - 905 and citizens of Iraq - 714 units
Istanbul ranked first in terms of foreign home sales with 2,564 housing units. This is followed by Antalya - 1970 units and Ankara - 333.
